MPA offers core and hands-on clinical rotations. Don't waste your time on hands-in-pocket observorships, they don't get you in the door to residency. The first thing residency directors look for is your hands on experience in U.S. clinics and hospitals.
Our rotations allow you the opportunity to gain credible letters of recommendation from board certified physicians and ACGME accredited hospitals. You will also have the opportunity to network with residency directors and current residents.
We offer guidance throughout your clinical clerkship experience. From helping you select value adding elective clerkships, to guiding your interests, MPA is more than just a placement service. We are here for you.
When you rotate with us, the experience is all-encompassing. In addition to our clinical clerkship program, we can also provide guidance with everything from preparing for your residency interview to writing your personal statement and gathering recommendation letters.
MPA offers all elective rotations. If you don't see your preferred clerkship on the list, contact us for availability.
Your success is our priority. There are many ways MPA supports our students so they can focus on learning. These features set us apart from other clinical clerkship rotations.
Apply online to join the clinical clerkship program. Applying is free!
Your application will include details about you, your school and what dates and clerkship specialties you prefer. After we receive your information, one of our physicians or student placement experts will contact you to discuss your plans.
After our team reviews your application, if we are the right fit, you will be emailed a pre-acceptance letter. This letter congratulates you on acceptance into the program and details the information and documents that are required for you to begin your clinical clerkship.
The pre-acceptance letter provides a checklist with required information and documents to confirm your clinical clerkship. The next step is for you to digitally submit those documents along with your refundable clerkship deposit.
Each hospital or clinic may require slightly different documents. However, in general, you should be prepared to provide personal and emergency contact information, copies of your identification, a copy of your visa (if applicable), a letter of good standing from your medical school/hospital, immunization and health records, USMLE scores (if applicable), health insurance information, proof of malpractice insurance coverage, etc.
If you don't have all these documents - don't worry! MPA can assist you.
MPA will review the documents you digitally submit. Once we have all the necessary information, we will reserve your clinical clerkship by emailing you a formal acceptance letter. This letter will include the dates, city and hospital system for your clerkship.
MPA provides a student guide that details your clerkship city, including referrals for housing, travel, banking and other important items for your relocation.
The payment of your remaining balance will formally confirm your clinical clerkship. Any changes or cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior to your start date.
Now you are ready to begin your clinical clerkship! Once you arrive, MPA provides an orientation, badge, reporting instructions and any other details necessary for you to begin. But this isn't the end of our support. MPA will communicate with you throughout your clerkship. Our professionals will be available to answer questions or provide assistance, should you need it, every step of the way.
